They measure 3 to 4 inches.
Their use is not known, but they can be placed in spiritual culture, as they have not a possible use in material culture.
Dated at 9500 years ago, they were found at the archeological site of Quebrada de Las Conchas, northern Chile.
In Southern area, near Coquimbo, other items of the same type have been found, dated between 8500 and 8000 years ago
